rudimentary workaround:

just use this group soup if you want to upload images for text postings in your soup. you need some minimal html knowledge to embed them in your text posting

that's the drama of the berlin grimm-zentrum: it looks great on pictures but to actually work there is a pain in the ass (and mainly due to aspects of its design that look great on pictures...)

that's just a coincidence - obviously, right now, soup.io is facing a huge amount of internal server errors. auto-importing feeds is a general feature of soup.io, it would be strange if auto-importing of one feed in one soup would knock down the entire soup-planet: it's basically just adding a few entries to a soup and nothing like, f.e., mirroring the whole google index or something ;)
